FAQs
Do I need a referral to make an appointment?
A referral from a medical practitioner is necessary in order to make an appointment to see Dr Ferguson. It is important that you send through the referral ahead of time or bring it with you on the day of your appointment. A valid referral allows you to claim back your Medicare entitlements.
What should I bring to my appointment?
Relevant medical history documents and previous investigations are important to help better understand your overall health and plan for future treatment. This might include:
-
Recent blood tests
-
Relevant Xrays or other scans (CT or MRI)
-
Your current GP or other specialist referral
-
Most recent specialist letters
-
List of current medications and any relevant allergies
Do I need an appointment face to face?
Ideally, appointments should be face to face as this allows for a more comprehensive assessment and discussion. For those patients who reside far from Sydney or are unable to attend appointments face to face due to ill-health or immobility, Telehealth or phone consults will be made available.
